Energy emerged from an unplanned moment of presence.

While painting live in my atelier in Armação de Pêra, I paused without direction. An apple core rested on a book beside me  an ordinary object, consumed and discarded.

In that instant, it revealed itself as structure.

The core represents compressed vitality — the residual force after consumption. What remains is not absence, but concentrated energy.

The vertical axis suggests continuity, while the hollow center speaks of transformation and transfer.

By isolating the form against a restrained field, the work elevates the ephemeral into monument. What is typically discarded becomes architecture.

Created in my atelier in Armação de Pêra, Algarve, Portugal.

In this work, I continue exploring the sculptural layering technique introduced in the previous piece — building the figure through controlled texture and tonal tension.

The human body appears not as an aesthetic object, but as a philosophical structure. Inspired by classical Greek thought, the figure represents one of nature’s fundamental milestones: self-knowledge through self-mastery.

The downward gaze suggests introspection rather than exhibition. Strength is present, yet restrained. Power exists, yet it is internal.

In contrast to a hyper-stimulated society driven by constant dopamine peaks and external validation, this work reflects on discipline, awareness, and the quiet conquest of the self.

This work investigates the silent intelligence embedded in natural systems.
A fallen leaf is not an end, but a transition — a structure designed for movement, decomposition, and regeneration.
Its journey after detachment becomes part of a larger,
self-sustaining cycle.

By isolating the form against a restrained background, the composition emphasizes tension between fragility and permanence. The piece invites reflection on continuity, transformation, and the quiet engineering of nature.
